Hahndorf Hill Winery
Adelaide Hills
Twenty years ago Hahndorf Hill Winery was developed as a boutique wine producer in the Adelaide Hills wine region of South Australia.

Today it is owned by Larry Jacobs and Marc Dobson who have developed Hahndorf Hill Winery as one of the top quality producing wine companies in the region. The Adelaide Hills wine region is situated 25 kilometres south of the city of Adelaide and is the coolest wine region in Australia.
The property has six hectares of vineyard and produces about 5000 cases of quality wine every year. The grapes are harvested by hand between February and April each year. It is very costly to harvest by hand but we do this every year to make sure that the quality of the grapes is perfect. Most wines in Australia are harvested by machine and this damages the fruit and the quality.

The wine produced consists of the following products:
White wines:
Hahndorf Hill Winery Sauvignon Blanc
Hahndorf Hill Winery Pinot Grigio
Hahndorf Hill Winery Chardonnay
Hahndorf Hill Winery White Mischief (which is a blend of 65% Chardonnay, 23% Sauvignon Blanc and 12% Pinot Grigio.)
We have also just planted a new white variety called Gruner Veltliner which is normally grown in Austria.
Rosé Wines
Hahndorf Hill Winery Rosé
Red Wines
Hahndorf Hill Winery Shiraz
We will also be producing another red wine called Blaufrankisch which is due to be released in May 2010.
Every year our wines receive awards and medals for their high quality. This year we celebrate our Pinot Grigio being selected as the Top Pinot Grigio in Australia (Penguin book Good Australian Wine Awards 2010)
